Slow Cooked Shredded Beef Tacos
Ingredients
- 1½ lbs boneless beef chuck roast
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 (1.25 oz) package taco seasoning mix
- 1 (16 oz) jar taco sauce
- 1 (7 oz) can diced green chilies
- 1 package taco shells (12)
- Toppings: shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream
Directions
- Place beef and sliced onion in a slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, combine the water and taco seasoning mix.
- Pour the seasoning mixture over the beef and onion.
- Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours, or until the beef is very tender.
- Remove beef and shred with two forks.
- Place shredded beef in a large bowl.
- Stir in the taco sauce and diced green chilies until evenly coated.
- Warm taco shells according to package directions and fill with the beef mixture.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Serve hot and enjoy!
